Artistic work

Besides my work as a holistic coach and ceremonial facilitator, I also have a background as a professional dancer, performer & artist.

I graduated as a contemporary dancer in Germany in 2013 and have since worked as a freelance dancer, performer, and teacher in Denmark and internationally. Today, I live on Bornholm, where my work is deeply inspired by the island’s nature, elemental forces, and raw beauty. Both my artistic practice and my teaching aim to strengthen our connection with ourselves, each other, and the natural world.

I have collaborated with several artists and musicians, including AYO Ambient, Annemethea, Noosfære, Anelogi, and cellist Anja Lillemaehlum. In addition, I have developed and performed several solo projects, such as Somewhere in Between, Nærværelse, and Meta.

HEIMR

Residency & premiere at Teater Momentum Odense

An interactive sound and dance performance about humanity's journey back to nature in collaboration with AYO Julie Schønherr Rosengreen // Electronic Composer & Soundartist.

HEIMR explores the relationship between humans and nature and how to engage in dialogue with it.

To be curious about what nature wants to teach us, so we can become better in collaborating with it. To give nature a voice, allowing it to guide us. To help us understand that humans and nature are one and the same.

To awaken a sense of humility toward the elements, which might help break down humanity’s rigid ideas and limitations and help us to see, hear, and sense from a new perspective.

Intention

With this project, we use technology to explore the invisible life and hidden communication that exists on a subtle level in nature. We create a sensory experience for the audience, which provides a new interpretation of humanity's journey back to nature, both within and outside of ourselves. It invites to reflect on the life we take for granted and may not be fully aware of, giving the opportunity to experience the invisible and abstract through music and dance.

Et Sted Midt Imellem (Somewhere in between)

In this performance, I explore the longing that is awakened in us when something in life comes to an end and we have yet to land in a new form. Our reaction to change, and the emptiness that arises in the transition from the old to the new.

How do we relate to our inner winter?
Do we fill it up, or do we dare to explore it?

It is a meeting with our vulnerability and our attempts to hold on to the familiar, the fear of losing control, and the shadows that are awakened in the darkness.

What happens when we no longer "know" or are familiar with the next step, but instead allow ourselves to be curious about what might unfold from this reset? Who are we beyond the familiar, beyond what we know and identify with?

It is a story about how we can meet the ever-changing nature of life with greater trust and curiosity toward the unknown and unfamiliar, and about how the cyclical rhythm of nature can remind us of our own inner seasons.

Kvindeliv (Women’s life)

Performance at Grønbechs Gård, Bornholm 2024 with dancers Marit Boe, Anna Richter and cellist Anja Lillemaehlum.

The performance is an interpretation of the inner and outer life that moves and affects the woman during the three ages of her adult life. Young, mother, old – before children, with children, after children.

Here we explore what we have in common, and what connects us in the transitions between these three phases.

We take a closer look at women's shared journey through the stages of life. Where and how are the threads formed that weave together and create a sense of belonging? Which parts of a woman's life are universal and independent of time and space, and which are individual and experienced differently by each person?

The theme of women’s lives is timeless and eternally relevant. It looks back, draws strength, exists in the present, and points forward.
The goal of our process is to create a personal, honest, and reflective dance narrative that will inspire introspection and reflection on what it means to be a woman in a constantly changing life.
